Dynamique Du langage (Version anglaise) The ‘Dynamique du Langage’ research centre was established in 1994 to investigate the relationship between language diversity, across the thousands of languages spoken in the world, and the universal human language capacity. This research is central to some major challenges facing society, such as understanding child language acquisition and language pathologies, documenting and sustaining minority languages, and investigating the origins of human language. The research centre is organized into three teams (Language Description, Typology & Variation; Language, Development and the Individual; The History and Ecology of Languages) interacting through two cross-cutting issues: Endangered Languages; Fieldwork, Documentation and Revitalization on the one hand, and Linguistic Complexity on the other.
