CURRENT PROJECT: TDS-LED

In continuation of the international summer school 3L in Lyon in July 2012 "Endangered Languages: from Documentation to Revitalization", the research team Langues en Danger (Endangered Languages) which is part of the research lab DDL organizes during the first semester of 2014 a series of seminaries and workshops on the subject "Transmission, Didactics and Standardization of Post-vernacular Languages (TDS-LED)" which will end with a conference dedicated to these themes, on the 22nd and 23rd of May 2014.

Antoine Guillaume presented « Linguistique de terrain sur langues en danger d'Amazonie »
(18h-20h ENS de Lyon Amphi Descartes | ENS site Descartes)

Abstract presentation of certain aspects of his research on Native American languages spoken in Bolivia in the Amazon region, and their contribution to general Linguistics. This discussion takes him to speak about the diversity of languages, the linguistic typology and the search for universals in human language, the issue of endangered languages and conducting fieldwork amongst speakers of oral languages that are not yet described.
