My research is focused on the documentation and description of the endangered languages of the small Takanan family of the Amazonian lowlands of Northern Bolivia, in particular Cavineña, Reyesano (Maropa) and Tacana. My goal is to provide general descriptions of these languages as well as detailed studies of some of their remarkable morphosyntactic properties, such as, e.g., their intricate argument marking patterns and their elaborate systems of associated motion.
